Blueberry pancakes

Have been meaning to write this post for a while but did not get the photos downloaded till recently:

Mr & Mrs Kong had been meaning to make blueberry pancakes for a while. I guess since its a big thing in America, we are used to hearing about them in films & on TV.

They're blue... honest guv...

Anyway, we saw some nice ones half price at Tescos so could not resist.

Used Jamie Oliver's recipe for American style pancakes, which are a favourite of ours.


So just made the batter up. Then pour onto the pan, adding the blueberries. Flip over to cook the other side & done!

Mmmmm, going into my belly...

They tasten nice & fruity. A bit like blueberry muffins. You get a hot bursting pocket of blueberry juice with every bite, like hot Ribena. It does make your lips go all blue though...

Blue tongue monster

Quite yummy, especially with the almighty pure Maple Syrup. Mmmmmmm!
